Your First Appointment

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your first appointment to allow completion of relevant documentation and for the Articulated Health nurse to complete your preliminary assessment. Please wear a mask and provide proof of vaccination status.

Please bring the following to your appointment:

  • Your Medicare card.

  • Your referral letter from your GP.

  • Medications, or a list of your current medications/supplements/allergies.

  • Recent x-rays, or other relevant imaging studies.

  • Any other relevant information (e.g other specialist reports).

  • If your condition is a WorkSafe or TAC matter, you must bring all correspondence / certificates in addition to your claim number. We will invoice these agencies directly if your claim has been fully accepted and is current.

  • Private health insurance details.

  • If an interpreter is required, please advise our reception staff prior to your appointment, on (03) 8849 0321 or contact us.

What to expect

Once you have been referred for assessment of a rheumatological health or skin condition, your referral will be triaged and an appointment will be offered to you at the earliest possible time. Prior to your appointment, our practice nurse will contact you to collect information and undertake a preliminary assessment. This will include:

  • Checking your current medications / allergies / supplements.

  • Collating your current medical and surgical history.

  • Checking relevant pathology and radiology results.

  • Requesting other relevant specialist reports.

At your first appointment, our practice nurse will undertake a clinical assessment. You will then have a comprehensive consultation with your Rheumatologist or Dermatologist and together we will develop your personalised management plan.

During this time of uncertainty during Covid 19, Telehealth appointments are offered if required.

Payment

Payment in full is required on the day of service. We can submit your Medicare or Private Health Insurance claim for you.
